Products (1)

  • Cisco uBR10000 Series Universal Broadband Routers

Known Affected Releases

12.2(33.7.16)SCD

Description (partial)

Symptom:
After DPC3925 CM upgrade the fw, we observe that if it trys the last known good upstream frequency (say it's UCID1) via B-INIT-RNG-REQs. And the configuration in the CMTS has this US frequencies of both UCID 1 and UCID 4 and the modem US is physically cabled to UCID 4. When the modem sends out the B-INIT-RNG-REQs for UCID=1, it is picked up by the UCID 4 and the CMTS sends a RNG-RSP for UCID-4. But CM cannot recognize it and keeps sending B-INIT-RNG-REQ, in CMTS, the CM status is stuck in init(r1).

Conditions:
CMTS image: 12.2(33)SE2
CM: DPC3925 with 5.5.3 image
