Cisco Bug: CSCuj36752 - [Enhanement ]Authenticate user for EUQ based on AD group for D/list

Last Modified

Apr 29, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Content Security Management Appliance

Known Affected Releases

7.9.1-102 8.1.0-000

Description (partial)

Symptom:
the issue is with spam quarantine notification sent to Group Mailboxes. These mailboxes have multiple users. When the user logins to the quarantine portal to release/delete suspected spam from the group mailbox, they are unable to authenticate as the SMA is unable to authenticate the user against a Group Mailbox. The SMA authenticates only a user mailbox with the respective user credentials.

Conditions:
The spam quarantine facility for end-users to manage their Group Mailboxes will provide the control back to the end-users just like their own mailbox quarantine. A feature to include in the LDAP query to check against the group membership will greatly enhance the user productivity and reduce all overheads of SMA Administrators.
