Description (partial)

After upgrading firmware from SIP69xx.9-2-2-7 to SIP69xx.9-3-3-2, 6900 series phones fail to display Caller ID information for inbound external calls, on certain call flows where the call arrives on CUCM via a SIP trunk. Caller ID display for internal calls is not effected.

In the non-working case, the Remote-Party-ID provided in the SIP headers for the INVITE to the 6900 series phone shows a FQDN in the host portion of the SIP address. Caller ID display works properly if the Remote-Party-ID shows an IP address in the host portion of the SIP address.
