Cisco Bug: CSCuj32592 - Doc: Clarify that ASA's interfaces themselves will not get NATed
Aug 20, 2018
- Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: IP addresses of ASA's interfaces themselves will not get NATed when traffic is sourced from these interfaces. This needs to be clarified in the below docs: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa82/configuration/guide/nat_overview.html http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa83/configuration/guide/nat_overview.html Conditions: Sourcing traffic from an interface of ASA, destined to remote network reachable through another interface, and there is NAT configured. A common scenario is when troubleshooting VPN by generating traffic locally on the ASA.
