Last Modified

Nov 08, 2016

Products (2)

  • Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls
  • Cisco ASA 5580 Adaptive Security Appliance

Known Affected Releases

8.0 8.4(6) 9.1(2)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Customer needs the ability to bypass the enable prompt when logging into the switch.
 - Today we allow exec authorization but when they type "enable" it still checks the ACS server.
 - Customer uses RSA One Time Password for Authentication which causes a second authentication for enable.
 - Second Authentication is unacceptable.
 - Customer would like this to map to the IOS/NX-OS model where they can be dropped right into Privilege 15

Conditions:
Login and exec authorization when using a One Time Password System (ex. RSA)
