Cisco Bug: CSCuj25254 - Not able to crosslaunch frm CSM-PRSM if username starts with bold letter

Last Modified

Apr 17, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Security Manager

Known Affected Releases

4.5(0)QA9

Description (partial)

User needs to create username with lower case for PRSM SSO to be successful

Symptom:
Single sign-on fails when user with uppercase letters in username cross-launches Prime Security Manager from Cisco Security Manager

Conditions:
- A username is configured with upper-case letters Cisco Security Manager.
- The same username is configured on Prime Security Manager and even if Prime Security Manager allows username to be configured with upper-case letters, it automatically converts it into lower-case letters.
- Cisco Security Manager and Prime Security Manager are both configured for single sign-on.
- When the above user with uppercase letters in username, logs in into Cisco Security Manager and cross-launches to Prime Security Manager, then due to the differing usernames in the two applications, single sign-on fails and user is prompted to log in manually to Prime Security Manager instead of being automatically logged in.
