Description (partial)

Symptom:
When processing node names, mate can incorrectly remove instances of "re1-" and "re0-".  This is normally used with Juniper routers to clean up the host name, however in some cases the process can be too aggressive.

Conditions:
When a hostname contains imbedded strings matching the condition:  core1-dca -> codca
