Last Modified

Apr 19, 2018

Products (2)

  • Cisco Nexus 3000 Series Switches
  • Cisco Nexus 3548 Switch

Known Affected Releases

6.0(2)A1(1b)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
In nexus 3000, the statistics reported by "show queuing interface ethernet x/y" are misleading:

3548# sh queuing interface e1/41
Ethernet1/41 queuing information:
  TX Queuing
    qos-group sched-type oper-bandwidth
        0 WRR 100

  RX Queuing
    Multicast statistics:
        Mcast pkts dropped : 81064265
    Unicast statistics:
    qos-group 0
    HW MTU: 1500 (1500 configured)
    drop-type: drop, xon: 0, xoff: 0
    Statistics:
        Ucast pkts dropped : 0

The above-reported "... pkts dropped" implies the traffic is dropped in the RX direction, while the drop happened in the TX direction.

Conditions:
Nexus3500 Running 6.0 or lower.
