Cisco Bug: CSCuj20037 - Interworked calls are too expensive

Last Modified

May 12, 2015

Products (1)

  • Cisco TelePresence Management Server

Known Affected Releases

14.2.2

Description (partial)

Symptom:

When weighing bridge alternatives when routing scheduled calls, Cisco TMS gives a very heavy penalty for SIP<->H.323 interworked options. This could be a problem when using a TelePresence Conductor in B2BUA mode, as the Conductor is SIP-only in this deployment model. Cisco TMS could then prefer dual-stack legacy bridges like TelePresence MPSs over modern solutions like TelePresence Conductors when there is one or more H.323-only endpoints in the conference.

Conditions:

All versions of Cisco TMS are affected. It is triggered by having a combination of SIP-only bridges and H.323-only endpoints in Cisco TMS.
