Cisco Bug: CSCuj13800 - ISM NAT44: Buffers not released for fragmented packets
Apr 11, 2018
- Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: ISM data traffic gets stalled and complete traffic drop at ISM. This issue will be seen with ISM install kit versions 4.3.1, 4.3.2 and 5.1.0. Conditions: When the incoming fragmented traffic hits a condition that drops the packet, a buffer leak is triggered, which over a period of time eclipses the buffer limit. As a result the Niantic port buffers are depleted resulting in traffic drop.
