Cisco Bug: CSCuj10128 - DB Save Errors in RFGW-1 while the QAM Cards are backed up using ROSA EM

Last Modified

Sep 22, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco RF Gateway Series

Known Affected Releases

6.1.6

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When the successive DB Save Requests are received by the RFGW-1 while it is still processing the previous DB Save request, then the 'RESOURCE_UNAVAILABLE' error is returned by the RFGW-1 to the ROSA EM for those requests and the 'rfgw1GeneralSaveConfiguration - db_save Failed' error log is also written.

Conditions:
When multiple QAM Cards are backed up at once by using the ROSA EM, several DB Save Requests are sent to the RFGW-1 via SNMP within a span of 1 second. The RFGW-1 DB Save Operation takes approximately from 770 msecs to 2085 msecs [it depends mainly on the size of the DB]. Hence, the 'RESOURCE_UNAVAILABLE' error is returned for the subsequent requests.
