Description (partial)

IOS router may crash unexpectedly due to memory corruption in the DHCPD Dynamic Update process.

Dynamic DNS must be configured on the router.

The crash occurs due to a timing issue. The DHCPD Dynamic Update process queues dynamic DHCP bindings for processing; however, if a binding is being destroyed, there is still a chance (under certain timing conditions) that it may be queued for DDNS processing.
The crash will occur when the already-freed binding is accessed during DDNS processing.
