Cisco Bug: CSCuj09444 - ASA:Difference in replication result of initial sync and boot sequence
Apr 16, 2020
- Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls
Known Affected Releases
8.2(5) 8.4(7) 9.0(4) 9.0(4.24) 9.1(5.12) 9.1(5.19)
Symptom: When <CmdBold>"snmp-server enable traps snmp"<noCmdBold> parameter is disabled in Active ASA (that parameter is enabled in default), <CmdBold>"no snmp-server enable traps snmp"<noCmdBold> command is no longer reprecated to Standby. In case of initial synchronization (when enabling <CmdArg>failover<noCmdArg> command in both firewall), <CmdBold>"snmp-server enable traps snmp"<noCmdBold> parameter still remains in the running config of Standby ASA. But in case of config synchronization just after boot sequence, <CmdBold>"snmp-server enable traps snmp"<noCmdBold> parameter is not existed in the running config of Standby ASA. Conditions: This activity is confirmed in any release of ASA Software version 8.2, and also 8.4(7).
