Cisco Bug: CSCuj07961 - PW may not send reverse MAC notify
Oct 24, 2018
- Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: After MAC flush due to spanning tree topology change or LDP MAC withdraw, L2 bridge traffic destined to PW may be flooded for half MAC age. By default, half MAC age is 2.5 minutes. This may happen when the destination MAC address is learned from wire on one NP and the PW egress traffic is via another NP. Conditions: 1. PW traffic ingress (disposition) traffic comes in from one NP, and the PW egress (imposition) traffic goes out on another NP. And 2. L2 traffic flooding is triggered by MAC flush due to spanning tree topology change or LDP MAC withdraw.
