Cisco Bug: CSCuj06852 - PKES encrypted Mpeg 4 trick files showing white flash
Jan 05, 2017
- Cisco Videoscape Distribution Suite for Television
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: STB flashes white screen at some porition of the frame, While it playing the Pkey encrypted content based trick files. Conditions: STB flashes white screen due to shorter ECM lead time. The root cause for that shorter ECM lead time is that, VDSTV keeps track of ECM changes properly only if it received an ECM packet required for a particular I frame at least before the previous I frame in 1x content. In the content provided, we see ECM packet for the problematic I frames are found after the previous I frame. i.e in P/B frames present in 1x between 2 I frames. This means VDSTV is not tracking the ECM changes for this particular scenario and which is causing shorter ECM lead time for that particular I-frame.
