Cisco Bug: CSCuj04849 - 7937 while in SRST, if power cycled will no longer register

Last Modified

Mar 03, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series

Known Affected Releases

1.4(4)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
This failure occurs when in SRST mode (WAN down), using a central site DHCP server, when the phone loses power or is rebooted. The other 79xx phones, (7962G or 7942G) eventually come back up successfully in SRST mode. They remember their previous DHCP and Call Manager settings. The 7937 does not act the same. It appears to remember it's DHCP assigned IP address, but it forgets its call manager list and also the SRST router address.

Conditions:
It occurs on Firmware version 1.4.4
