Cisco Bug: CSCuj04407 - RDU runs OutOfMemory when IPDevice.searchDevice with propertiesToRetrive
May 03, 2017
- Cisco Broadband Access Center for Telco and Wireless
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: With instance level authorization enabled and with very large number of devices (of the order of millions) present in the RDU database, RDU might run out of memory while executing a device search command (IPDevice.searchDevice()) by a user who does not have access to out of the box RootDomain. This is true for other resources like file (Configuration.getMatchingFilenames()) and node search (IPDevice.searchNode()) as well. Even if RDU does not go out of memory, if the user has access to limited number of resources (compared to a very large number of resources present in the database), search commands might take longer time for execution (compared to the execution time with instance level authorization disabled). Conditions: 1. Instance level authorization has to be enabled. 2. The user should not have access to RootDomain 3. Only applicable for the methods IPDevice.searchDevice(), Configuration.getMatchingFilenames(), IPDevice.searchNode().
