Cisco Bug: CSCuj01282 - no mpls traf auto-tunnel backup tunnel-id removes entire submode

Last Modified

May 13, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Carrier Routing System

Known Affected Releases

5.1.1.MPLS

Description (partial)

Symptom:

The <CmdBold>no mpls traffic-eng auto-tunnel backup tunnel-id<noCmdBold> command removes all configuration in the <CmdBold>mpls traffic-eng auto-tunnel backup<noCmdBold> submode, rather than just the auto-backup tunnel-id configuration line.

Note that this will cause no operational impact on the router; the tunnel-id range is required configuration for the auto-backup feature, and removing it will cause the destruction of all auto-backup tunnels by design. The removal of the submode as well will not result in traffic loss that would not otherwise occur.

Conditions:

This issue occurs whenever the <CmdBold>no mpls traffic-eng auto-tunnel backup tunnel-id<noCmdBold> command is executed.
