Symptom: When ISIS is configured to operate in a VRF and the ipv4 address-family is subsequently removed from that VRF, an error similar to the following is seen: %IPRT-3-INVALID_RIBUPDATE_STATE: Invalid RIB State for update 0x1 10.8.8.0/24 isis -Process= "ISIS Upd 2", ipl= 0, pid= 166 -Traceback= 890CB49z 961592Cz 98AAD70z 98AA130z 98A9BDDz 98801D0z 987A6ECz 987A603z 98633E8z 988056Ez Following this, further attempts to re-add the ipv4 address-family to the VRF will fail: Router(config-vrf)#address-family ipv4 % Deletion of vrf v1 ipv4 unicast base topology in progress; wait for it to complete Conditions: ISIS operating in the context of a VRF.
