Symptom: Aug 28 22:50:24.866 EDT: %RFGW-3-LINECARD_FAILURE: Linecard in slot 4 is reporting a MPEG Failure (0x0001) Aug 28 22:50:24.872 EDT: %C4K_CHASSIS-2-LINECARDDS384MAJOREVENT: Slot 4, source 1 detects Watchdog Expired, sequence: 1 (0x9B01206A) Aug 28 22:50:27.254 EDT: %RFGW-6-HEARTBEAT_WARNING: Heartbeat process has failed to receive heartbeats (for 3 consecutive seconds), for linecard 4 Aug 28 22:50:29.254 EDT: %RFGW-3-HEARTBEAT_FATAL: Heartbeat process has failed to receive heartbeats (for 5 consecutive seconds), resetting linecard 4 Code changes done to adjust the WatchDog thread priority and to add debug codes on Steelhead write/read of WatchDog timer tick values. This is not a fix; But, 1. Try avoid CPU starving scenario of WatchDog thread 2. Dump debug logs on Steelhead write/read of WatchDog timer tick values. Conditions: DS384 running with SQB. We suspect the WatchDog thread starving for CPU, causing the timer expiry. Also there may be issue while updating the time ticker value by SteelHead FPGA.
