Last Modified

Dec 17, 2015

Products (1)

  • Cisco ACE 4700 Series Application Control Engine Appliances

Known Affected Releases

3.0(0)A4(2.2)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Output of "show conn" formats IP/port to 20 characters although 21 characters may be possible.

Conditions:
Running "show conn" if there are connections with IP:Port pairs which exceed 20 characters

Example:

>telnet 123.123.123.123 12345
Trying 123.123.123.123...

And on the ACE:

# show conn address 123.123.123.123 netmask 255.255.255.255

conn-id np dir proto vlan source destination state
----------+--+---+-----+----+---------------------+---------------------+------+
1283057 2 in TCP 123 53.31.23.111:58068 123.123.123.123:1234 SYNSEEN
1515093 2 out TCP 3123 123.123.123.123:1234 53.31.23.111:58068 INIT

As you can see the "5" is stripped from the output as only 20 characters are shown.
