Cisco Bug: CSCub14384 - AP802 failed to switch from autonomous to unified mode

Last Modified

Feb 01, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco 800 Series Routers

Known Affected Releases

7.3

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When issuing the "service-module wlan-ap 0 bootimage unified" on the 88xW router, this would set the
"boot system" value pointing to the following image name: flash:/ap802-rcvk9w8-mx/ap802-rcvk9w8-mx
However, the APs have the recovery image named as follows:
flash:/ap802-rcvk9w8-mx.124-23c.JA2/ap802-rcvk9w8-mx.124-23c.JA2
Given this, after the conversion the boot fails and the AP goes back to the autonomous image.

Conditions:
- router 881W: 15.1(4)M4
- AP802:
  aIOS: 12.4(25d)JAX
  LWAPP recovery: ap802-rcvk9w8-mx.124-23c.JA2
