Cisco Bug: CSCub12581 - Storage subsystem must generate events on battery state changes.
Dec 02, 2013
- Cisco Unified Computing System
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: RAID subsystem Virtual Drive write performance can drop without warning from the CiMC. Conditions: If an installed RAID card has a battery backed write-back RAM cache, the battery will occasionally need to go through a relearn (refresh) cycle. While the battery is discharging and recharging, it is not safe to only write data to RAM, so the cache goes into write-through mode, which slows (sometimes severely) Virtual Drive performance.
