Description (partial)

Symptoms: The router may lose OSPF routes pointing to the reconfigured OSPF
interface.

Conditions: This symptom occurs after quick removal and adding of the interface
IP address by script or copy and paste.

For example, configure the following:

interface Ethernet0/0
 ip address 1.1.100.200 255.255.255.0
 ip ospf network point-to-point
 ip ospf 1 area 0
end

Then, quickly remove/add the IP address:

conf t
interface Ethernet0/0
 no ip address 1.1.100.200 255.255.255.0
 ip address 1.1.100.200 255.255.255.0
 ip ospf network point-to-point
 ip ospf 1 area 0
end
