Cisco Bug: CSCua99537 - Doc: Need to mention about NTP sync with Windows Time Service.

Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco Secure Access Control Server Solution Engine

Known Affected Releases

5.1(0.44) 5.2(0.26) 5.3(0.40)

Description (partial)

ntpd running with ACS sometimes can not synchronize clock with the Windows Time Service.
This can be seen more easily when ACS or AD is running as VM.

When AD DC(Domain Controller) is used as NTP server and the clock on ACS and AD never be in sync,
using NTP server other than Windows Time Service may be needed.

This needs to be mentioned in ACS5 documentation.
