Cisco Bug: CSCua97696 - JITC HTTPS Redirect code cause wrong Conference Resource Status

Last Modified

Dec 17, 2015

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified MeetingPlace

Known Affected Releases

8.5(4.12)

Description (partial)

Symptom:

When using Application Server Administration Web to check Topology Management, the active Meeting Broker Director sees other node or nodes Operational Status as "Resource Down".

The symptom would be :

 - no meetings created on conference nodes
 - 'hastatus' can show the Conferencing Resources of the conference node UP

For example, in a two node multinode environment, with both MBD being combined nodes, the active MBD would not create any meetings on the other combined node. This behaviour does not change regardless whether node 1 or node 2 that has assumed the active MBD role, meaning if node 2 is made active MBD, node 2 can host meetings, but it will not create meetings on node 1.

This symptom was introduced through JITC compliant HTTPS support added to 8.5MR2 via CSCtw70160, and first discovered when customer upgrade from 8.5MR1.
