Cisco Bug: CSCua97033 - Dest Host AVP Missing in ACR_INTERIM & incorrect behavior seen in HSGW

Last Modified

Dec 25, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 5000 Series

Known Affected Releases

12.2(903) 12.2(905) 12.3(1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Destination-Host AVP is missing in some of the interims and the same ACR message is retried again

Conditions:
Due to heavy overload conditions in which the AAA server is not responding fast enough - the diamproxy task might have backpressure indication based on the socket overload. In this case, the diameter message is put in a backpressure queue, but the message is timed out because of socket being full. A new retransmit message is created without the destination-host. This is as per design.
