Cisco Bug: CSCua92808 - Wrong resource allocation with percent sign in limit-resource command
Feb 02, 2017
- Cisco ACE Application Control Engine Module
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: When using the percent sign in the <number> value in the "limit-resource all minimum <number> ..." command, ACE translates <number> incorrectly as its numerical value divided by 100. If, for example, you configure the following: ---snip--- ACE/Admin(config)# resource-class RC1 ACE/Admin(config-resource)# limit-resource all minimum 20% maximum equal-to-min ---snip--- This will appear in the configuration like this: ---snip--- resource-class RC1 limit-resource all minimum 0.20 maximum equal-to-min ---snip--- The output of "show resource-usage" then confirms, that ACE is only assigning 0.2% of resources to all contexts, which are member of this class, instead of the desired 20%. Conditions: Configuring resource-class following the suggestions in either ACE Command Reference or ACE Configuration Guide.
