Description (partial)

Symptom: Client (GUI) needs to clear cache for the event polling interval to take effect on the module.

Conditions: After setting the event polling interval for 10 seconds (for example) to work properly, changing the event polling interval to 30 seconds (for example) will not work even restarting the video session.
