Cisco Bug: CSCtf37376 - J-FFT: AP1230 Malloc Failure and tracebacks
Nov 09, 2011
- Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: During J Release testing on a AP 1200 platform using Veriwave clients, when we associate more than 127 clients, AP goes low on memory and then followed by traceback, AP crash. AP 1200/1100 platform has a total of 16 MB memory compared to AP1240/1130 which has 32 MB memory. So, we need to put a limit on the number of clients that can associate to an AP. Based on test results 127 is the max limit for number of clients in a 16 MB AP platform. Conditions: Only on 16 MB platform APs, due to low memory and when there are more than 127 clients associated to the AP.
