Description (partial)

The Door configuration - the collection of hardware devices, credential templates, door templates, policies, and schedules - needs to be complete when it is downloaded to the gateway. Adding hardware to the door changes the behavior of the door and all the components have to have complete data. To make the change, the door needs to be removed from the groups, policies, APB, etc.

A door configured with a reader and a lock which is added to
several Access Policy's a Door Group and an APB Zone.

For exapmle, you want to add a door-sensor to this door.

It is not possible to add this simple door-Sensor to the existing door
configuration without removing it first from the Access Policy(s), Door Group(s), APB zone, disabling and deleting it and then rebuilding the complete door again and then adding it again to the Access Policy(s), Door Group(s) etc..

( this is the same for deleting a device from an existing door
configuration, for example a REX needs to be removed )
