Cisco Bug: CSCtf29156 - SyslogAnalyzer registers itself with dmgtd incorrectly

Last Modified

  • CiscoWorks Resource Manager Essentials

Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

The SyslogAnalyzer daemon registers itself with Daemon Manager as "SyslogAnalyzerService". This prevents SyslogAnalyzer from receiving Daemon Manager control messages, and also makes any message sent from SyslogAnalyzer show up as unknown.

Additionally, when SyslogAnalyzer is shutdown, it will terminate with a result code other than 0, meaning it cannot be cleanly shutdown.

This occurs by default. There is no external trigger.
