Cisco Bug: CSCtf27303 - 6PE interop: Cisco router sends MP_UNREACH_NLRI in not negotiated SAFI
Feb 28, 2018
- Cisco IOS
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: The router sends Multiprotocol Unreachable Network Layer Reachability Information (MP_UNREACH_NLRI) in non-negotiated AF IPv6 unicast. Conditions: This issue occurs when a BGP session is enabled for a 6PE (peer-enabled in AF IPv6 and end-label configured) with a third-party router, which does not advertise the IPv6 unicast (not AFI 2 SAFI 1, only AFI 2 SAFI 4) capability. Subsequently, the session may be ended right after establishing connection, as the router sends an update in the non-negotiated AF IPv6 unicast (AFI/SAFI 2/1).
