Cisco Bug: CSCtf22821 - EMC: Getting inquiry commands ABTS with SANtap to UCS6120
Nov 11, 2010
- Cisco MDS 9000 Series Multilayer Switches
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: The host-target IO may be disrupted in the case of certain HBAs like the UCS Palo Adaptor. Conditions: Persistent Reserve Out (PRO) frames sent by the host and bound for the target can get rejected in the control path if the host forms the frame with the write-bit turned ON (set to 1), since the control path expects the write-bit to be turned ON only for write (WR) commands. This can cause the host to stop all further exchange with the target. Workaround(s): No workaround exists other than to replace the host HBA or configure it to not send PRO commands with the write-bit turned ON.
