Cisco Bug: CSCtf10883 - Free monitor object instead of cache object in fman_nf_create_mon_obj
Nov 11, 2010
- Cisco ASR 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: When AVL object insertion fails for monitor due to any reason we should delete the allocated monitor object and we should not delete the cache object. But in one case we are deleting the cache object. This bug in code is found in code inspection. This has not been seen in any test. This bug can have two possible impacts 1) There can be memory leak if any error happens, since monitor object is not deleted. 2) cache object deletion can cause any issues including crash. Conditions: This problem can occur when AVL object insertion fails for monitor due to any reason we should delete the allocated monitor object and we should not delete the cache object.
