Description (partial)

Symptom:

Restore from backup repeatedly fails.

Logs will show the following pattern.

oninit: Cannot open chunk '/var/opt/cisco/connection/db/cuc_er_sbspace'. errno = 2
oninit: Cannot open chunk '/var/opt/cisco/connection/db/cuc_er_dbspace'. errno = 2
oninit: Cannot open chunk
'/var/opt/cisco/connection/db/ciscounity_sbspacetemp'. errno = 2
Physical restore failed - Cannot Open Primary Chunk
'/var/opt/cisco/connection/db/cuc_er_dbspace'. 

Program over.
Restore failed during Unity Connection DB ontape restore operation.

Or another example:

oninit: Cannot open chunk '/var/opt/cisco/connection/db/dyn2_dbs'. errno = 2
Physical restore failed - Cannot Open Primary Chunk
'/var/opt/cisco/connection/db/dyn2_dbs'. 

Conditions:

An object in the source backup does not exist in the target database. 
Connection/Informix does not automatically recreate the object.
