Known Affected Releases
Symptom: A 3750 or similar switch (3750-X, 3560, 2960, etc) may report a higher than normal CPU utilization due to the process Adjust Regions. This may happen intermittently or consistently, depending upon the causing factors. Higher than normal latency in response to pings to the switch may also be observed. Conditions: Conditions which may cause the Adjust Regions process to run include: - Frequent routing table updates - Frequent ARP Gleans - observed as Incomplete entries in the ARP table. - Frequent ARP adjustments - hosts changing IP addresses and then updating ARP, for example.
