Directions spoken from the Telephone User Interface to a caller of the Survivable Remote Site Auto-attendant are misleading in that the instructions indicate a feature like 'dial-an-extension at any time' is present when in reality it is not. If after listening to the instructions in the prompt the caller attempts to use one of the features that has not been fully implemented for survivable remote site auto-attendant, they will likely hear the "I did not recognize that as a valid option" prompt.


This problem occurs for the survivable remote site auto-attendant when the central Cisco Unity Connection has auto-attendant prompts defined that give callers directions on features that the survivable remote site auto-attendant can not support. Most notable of the missing features is the 'dial-by-extension at any time' Cisco Unity Connection feature that allows a caller to simply enter the extension of the subscriber they wish to reach and the auto-attendant will transfer the caller to the desired subscriber.

The main features not fully supported on Survivable Remote Site Auto-attendant are: 'dial-by-extension at any time' , 'take-a-message from call handler', and 'transfer to subscriber by call handler menu option'.
