Cisco Bug: CSCte96398 - RDU runs out of memory processing API command IPDevice.searchDevice
Feb 22, 2014
- Cisco Broadband Access Center for Telco and Wireless
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: RDU server performance degrades, RDU log (with informational messages enabled) shows 20+ second gaps where no messages were emitted even though the server had batches to execute. Or the RDU server runs out of Java heap memory and restarts. Conditions: Batches posted to the RDU server using the BAC client API include calls to the getMatchingFilenames, searchDevice, or searchNode API methods. The calls to these methods pass a large value for the numberToReturn parameter. The calls to searchDevice set ReturnParameters.ALL in the searchType parameter to request the search return details about matching devices. The search matches a large number of records.
