Last Modified

Feb 22, 2014

Products (1)

  • Cisco ACE Application Control Engine Module

Known Affected Releases

3.0(0)A2(2.1.6)

Description (partial)

Symptom:

Connections "stuck" in CLSRST state, as 1 side of the connection has an idle time < idle timeout, and the other side has been dile for days, so the connection is not cleared as there is still activity ont he client side of the connection,as there is still data to be sent to the client. Trying to remove this connection via "clear conn" does not remvoe the connection.

Conditions:

Client is advertising a zero window size and the ACE is probing the client waiting for the window to open up, in order to send the data it received from the server. The client keeps responding to the probes, so the connection is active.
