Last Modified

Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

Config-sync failure or parsing error due to 'exit-address-family'.

This may happen when 'address-family ipv4' (global) is configured in conjunction with
'address-family ipv4' (scope vrf <vrf-name>), but 'scope global' is not configured.

router bgp 1
 scope vrf vpn1
  address-family ipv4
    redistribute connected
 address-family ipv4
   redistribute static

Problem scenario happens whenever router is reloaded and has to parse config like the one in the
example. Examples of such triggers are 'reload', 'hw-module standby-cpu reset', doing ISSU.
