Cisco Bug: CSCte84014 - ISIS adjacency not coming up after continously add/delete of isis config

Last Modified

Jan 17, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco 12000 Series Routers

Known Affected Releases

3.9.1.ROUT

Description (partial)

Symptom:

ISIS adjacency on an interface stays DOWN after rapid and repeated sequence of configuration and de-configuration of the interface from under 'router isis'.

Conditions:

The bug is exposed when the interface in question is removed and re-added into ISIS in rapid succession. This sequence may result in the (incorrect) removal of the interface from the LPTS table, thus causing the adjacencies to remain DOWN. The condition may be verified by looking for the interface in the LPTS bindings table, via <CmdBold>show lpts bindings client-id clnl<noCmdBold>. The lack of an entry with the specific interface is confirmation that this bug has been encountered.
