Known Affected Releases

9.20

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Traffic may be impacted on a channel connected to the 80-WXC configured as colorless demux when the output of another channel at the same lambda is wrongly connected to another TX port of the same colorless demux

Conditions:
In an 80-WXC unit configured as colorless Demux, if all following conditions are satisfied:
A) A modulated signal is wrongly connected to a drop port of the demux (i.e. a TX port connected with a TX port)
B) The light source uses a wavelength already provisioned between two other ports of the colorless demux
C) The optical power of the light source is higher than the one of the already provisioned wavelengths
it can happen, depending on the vendor ID and the specific ports involved, that the traffic dropped to another port (even on a different wavelength) may be affected.
