Cisco Bug: CSCte72114 - SSH process may exist after being orphaned from SSH session

Last Modified

Mar 06, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls

Known Affected Releases

7.2 8.0(4)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The SSH process may still be running even after the SSH session that spawned the SSH process has closed out on an ASA firewall.

Conditions:
This seems to occur when the SSH client that was connected to the ASA terminates in such a fashion that it does not cleanly close the session. It has been observed on code version 80.4 and may also exist in other builds as well.
