Description (partial)

Traffic may be impacted when an high power light source is wrongly connected to the MON port of the 15454-80-WXC-C.

The following conditions must be satisfied to incur in the problem:
- The 15454-80-WXC-C is used in multiplexer or bidirectional configuration
- The user by mistake connects a light source instead of an OPM or OSA to the MON port.
- The light source shall use the same wavelength of an already provisioned channel
- The light source power level shall be 25dB higher than the output power from the COM port of the existing channel at the same wavelength.
If all of the above are satisfied, the far end receiver of the channel can have impact on the traffic
