Cisco Bug: CSCte57931 - parity errors on ISE E3 LC affect IF-MIB input counters
Jan 07, 2017
- Cisco 12000 Series Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: IF-MIB input counters may end up being corrupted, in the situation where an Engine 3 Line Card is recovering a parity error. This usually is traced by a syslog message of the type "L2-ALPHA-3-ERROR_MSG : RX PSE: RX PSE .... <error description>. Conditions: Frequently repeated parity errors are in general associated to marginal hardware, which should be replaced. Isolated parity errors have to be seen as normal, but are rare events. The affected counters are the input traffic counters and the input error counters.
