Known Affected Releases

12.2(32.8.11)SX334 12.2(32.8.11)SX344 12.2(33)SRE0a 12.2(33.1.80)SB9

Description (partial)

Symptoms: The standby router may reload with the message:

Config Sync: Line-by-Line sync verifying failure on command:
  no router bgp <asn>
due to parser return error

Other routing protocols (notably OSPF or RIP) may be substituted for BGP in the
above.

Conditions: The symptom is observed when:

1. You configure a routing protocol other than the protocol mentioned in the
Config Sync error.
2. You configure "redistribute XXX ..." where XXX is the protocol mentioned in
the Config Sync error.
3. You unconfigure the routing protocol mentioned in step 1.
4. You do NOT configure the protocol XXX with the ASN mentioned in step 2.
5. An active/standby switchover happens or is forced.
6. On the former standby (now the active) you configure "no router XXX <asn>"
where "<asn>" is the ASN used for the non-XXX protocol in step 1 and XXX is the
protocol mentioned in step 2.
