Cisco Bug: CSCte57804 - 'no router <protocol>' after switchover may cause stdby to reload

Symptoms: The standby router may reload with the message: Config Sync: Line-by-Line sync verifying failure on command: no router bgp <asn> due to parser return error Other routing protocols (notably OSPF or RIP) may be substituted for BGP in the above. Conditions: The symptom is observed when: 1. You configure a routing protocol other than the protocol mentioned in the Config Sync error. 2. You configure "redistribute XXX ..." where XXX is the protocol mentioned in the Config Sync error. 3. You unconfigure the routing protocol mentioned in step 1. 4. You do NOT configure the protocol XXX with the ASN mentioned in step 2. 5. An active/standby switchover happens or is forced. 6. On the former standby (now the active) you configure "no router XXX <asn>" where "<asn>" is the ASN used for the non-XXX protocol in step 1 and XXX is the protocol mentioned in step 2.
