Cisco Bug: CSCte54055 - ASA generate incorrect negative SN for CTL in non-secure mode
Dec 12, 2016
- Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: During our test with RT-Lite phone, which uses HandyIron security library, we find that RT-Lite phone could not establish TLS link with ASA, due to a server certificate issue. The serial number in ASA generated CTL is negative, which makes HandyIron failed to verify server's certificate. Conditions: RT-Lite phone establishes TLS link with ASA in non-secure mode.
