Cisco Bug: CSCte41561 - Inconsistent drag and drop behavior

Last Modified

Jul 21, 2010

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Personal Communicator

Known Affected Releases

7.0(2)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Unconsistent drag and drop behavior

Conditions:
Procedure:
1. Drag&drop several contacts from search hub to different contact groups.
2. Drag&drop several contacts from Recent Communications hub to different contact groups.
3. Drag&drop several contacts from some contact group to another ones.
4. Delete several contacts that are present in multiple groups from only one group at a time.

Expected behavior:
1. In both steps 1 and 2, each contact should be added exactly and only to group that it was dropped to.
2. In step 3, each contact should be added exactly and only to group that it was dropped to, and should be removed from group that it was dragged from.
3. In step 4, each contact should be removed from group where it was deleted from and the same contact in other groups should not be affected by this deletion.

Actual behavior:
1. Intermittently, in both steps 1 and 2, dragged contact is added to several groups, not only to the group where it was dropped to, whether it is dragged from Recent Comm. or from Search hub.
2. Intermittently, in step 3, dragged contact is deleted from both groups (from the group it was dragged from, and from group it was dropped to). Also intermittently, dragged contact is copied to group it was dropped to (that way it is present in both groups).
3. Intermittently, in step 4, when dragged contact is copied by drag&drop (in step 3) and then deleted from one of those two groups, the same contact in other group (where he remained) loses presence status.
