Cisco Bug: CSCte39477 - Web GUI: External Web Servers Field Needs to Always Be Displayed

Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

4.2(207.0) 6.0(188.0)

Description (partial)

User has to change Global Web Authentication Type to External before "External Web Servers" field will be displayed.

This can limit ease of use during installation since the introduction of the Web Auth Global Over-ride feature, allowing for different Web Auth settings on a per WLAN basis. A user who has setup a WLAN with an external Web Server for Web Auth browses over to the Global Web Auth settings, and does not immediately see the "External Web Servers" field unless they choose External as the global Web Authentication type. In some cases, the user may wish to have the global Web Auth type set to internal, and only use an external server for specific WLANs.
